Lent: Through Trouble To Triumph!

lentheader2Today is Ash Wednesday, a day when many begin to prepare themselves for a season of sacrifice and self-denial.  This time of reflecting will position us to see the magnitude of our struggles through the power of God’s purpose.  All of the things that we long to be free of ~ darkness; uncertainty; doubt; fear ~ are brought to the surface as sacrifices are made and self is denied.  Each one of us is compelled by the hope that lies beyond the cross as we press through our challenges to become Champions in Christ.

Visit the Covenant Presbyterian Church blog site for this year’s Lenten Devotional “Lent – Stories of Struggle and Hope: A Journey To The Cross”.  These inspirational pieces will reflect on the range of emotions we all experience as we make our own personal journeys through darkness and into God’s wonderful light.  This daily devotional will help you acknowledge struggle while embracing hope.  Take a few minutes each day to allow the power of someone’s story to encourage you.  Regardless of the depth of the darkness you may currently be in, rest assured that God has already scheduled your Resurrection Day!
