“How Bad Do You Want It?”
Scripture Focus: Mark 10:46-52
- Jesus crossed Bartimaeus’ path even though he wasn’t there to meet Him.
- Because of a change in what he heard, he made a change in what he did.
- Focusing on our present can make us miss the moment that transforms our future.
- We don’t need access to the many; we need access to The One.
- Never allow ‘what people think’ to alter how we respond to ‘what we know’.
- Recognize that Jesus can change our circumstance by changing our condition.
- Even in our circumstances, we can get Jesus’ attention.
- Cast off everything that will prevent openness before God.
- Jesus answered, “What do you want Me to do for you?”
- When you know Jesus, He becomes ‘Rabboni’ which means ‘My Great One’.
- Exalt Jesus above our conditions and we will get His attention.
- Our faith will place a demand on Jesus’ ability.
- Jesus’ next instruction may be a directive to act again in faith.
- When God changes our condition, we’ll want to make His way our way.
- Are we ready to approach God, and ask and advance in faith to receive our transformation?
